Thank you for actually having the courage to stand up for white people. I am not racist in any way shape or form, I judge people based on who they are, not their color, but I still feel horribly ashamed of being a white person because I constantly see SJ posts about how horrible white people are and how there's no such thing as racism against white people. It really makes me hate myself and I wish I wasn't white at all.
You should never have to feel terrible for who you are!
You were born the way you were without any of your consent. Nobody is brought into this world or given the life they start out with on their own consent.
You should never let people make you feel bad for that. You should never have to feel bad for being white. You should never have to feel bad for being black either. Or any other colour.
You should never have to feel bad for being yourself.

ok so you're white. you dont have a sayin whats racist and not racist because you're part of a group that has oppressed and created racism in societies! its not that hard a concept- you just have to listen to POC with these sorts of things! really, the best thing to do would be to apologize and realize that you can be racist without being violent, or even meaning to racist!!
Okay so let’s go over what you’ve just said.
a) You’ve lumped me into a group of people that did some bad things a long time ago that’s I’ve had nothing to do with and don’t condone in the least. By you saying that I’m part of a group that has oppressed and created racism, you pretty much saying that I, and every other white person, has personally oppressed or committed racist acts against someone. That’s like saying every German is a Nazi. It’s just ridiculous.
b) I don’t ‘just have to listen to POC on these things’. I will certainly read what they have to say, but that doesn’t mean that they’re right just because of the colour of their skin. Just because you guys think everything I say is wrong because I’m white, it doesn’t mean you’re right because you’re black (do you see what I’m getting at here?) I could say that 2+2=4 but if you had so thoroughly convinced yourself that I was wrong about everything in math, you would tell me that it’s 5.
c) Saying I’m white and that I don’t have a say in what’s racist and what isn’t, is also wrong. Do you understand what that means? You pretty much just told me to not partake in anything to do with racism because it’s ‘none of my business because I’m white.’ So I guess because I have to uphold that, I won’t defend my POC friends when they’re getting hated on for the colour of their skin. Because I’m white and it’s none of my business right?
d) I have already apologized for the things that needed apologizing for. I know that you can be racist through ignorance, but I’m neither ignorant or racist so you guys can just fuck off already, holy frick.
e) That last point about ‘you can be racist without being violent or even meaning to be’ also applies to racism against white people. If you hate someone based on the colour of their skin, that is racism. Whether they are black or asian or arab, or hispanic or white. EVERYBODY IS EQUAL. IF YOU WANT EQUALITY YOU HAVE TO TREAT PEOPLE LIKE EQUALS. IT IS A TWO WAY STREET.
